Which brands are TBers the most fanatical/loyal... Incredibly insane about?
 

I have owned almost everything out there, but some bass brands seem to make TBers (me included sometimes) act like geeks at a Star Trek convention or like tween girls at a One Direction concert more than other brands. Hundreds of posts about certain $10 mods, different bridges, etc. might be a little nutty.;)

Which brands in your opinion get their TB owners obsessively horny/chatty/protective more than the others?

For me, the Spector Club TBers take it. Great people and completely fanatical about all things Stuart. Hard to follow sometimes as there are often hundreds of posts in a good day, but no question about Spectors is considered dumb and everyone is helpful/knowledgeable. Also, they love the brand but really could care less if you also love Warwick, Fender or anything else.

Also, the RIC fans are crazy loyal to the brand. Maybe too loyal, but they love their RICs. RIC lovers seem to be the least likely to play a different brand.... Ever.:p Lakland, Fodera and Sadowsky are runners up IME.

Fender Precision. They're the bass that everyone likes j-off about on TB, I'd say. Not necessarily Fender. Just the Ps.

fEARful and fEARless cab owners are pretty fanatical about the awesome cabs that Greenboy designed.

I think the RIC haters are more fanatical than the RIC lovers, sometimes!

And all the expensive Fender clones

Fenders, mostly the P and flats.... and you better damn well love them!

Interesting assumption that Rick players seem to you least likely to play a different brand, perhaps some fit your assumption but I'm guessing not many. I love my Ricks, I own five different models, but I also play and love my Status, Modulus, G&L, Hofner and Fender basses. As far as loyalties go, I really have none regarding basses. I play what I like and like what I play.

TUNE players are reasonable dedicated to their brand (me included). From obvious reason. RIC people are getting abandoned by their own house more and more, day by day. However, I am, also, member of the most fanatical crowd here - Acoustic amps club.

If number of threads of fanboy and fangirl gushing (that I may or may not have taken part in) is any indication, I'd say Lakland, Spector, and Fender.

I am a huge Spector fan, but they're a bit spendy for the ones I want. Fender offers a great product for the price if you're selctive about it (or have some fret dressing skills or willing to have them professionally dressed) But I'll go to the mat for Tommy at USACustomGuitars and his Fenderish clones.

Ric bashing is also pretty popular on TB, I've noticed.

I'm fanatical about Leo Fender's creations, and Ampeg.

Ampeg fans are pretty hardcore, usually (myself included).

Agree with Spector, Ric and Fenders too. A small but fanatical group (cue Monty Python-ish voice) is the club I'm a member of, the Sandberg fans.

Never been a big basse's fan, but I assume i'm a big Cort hater.... but that's more about human rights, politics, pollution etc..... and how they treat trees resources in Asia. You can't be sure of how they work. Guys that has nothing to care with their workers, I don't think they treat the forests better....

But you could either tell me the same with Fender about their chinese products, Ibanez, Vintage, etc..... to be honest, yeah, i must say that Cort crystallizes all the anger I feel for those persons that act like this.

Anyway, never say anything wrong about SWR REDHEAD, or I kill you :D
