Ditto!

I hope to be able to install new pickups in my MM Brute over the Christmas break. I've had the dang pickups for probably 3 months now

Not yet, but I have seen a mean looking Brute in the classified that is calling me, love the mods that was done on it, I'm very tempted for that one.

Since you have all been asking, the full production run just arrived today and we have begun QC.

Mods, I hope it is okay that I posted this.

If not I'll say it. Guys I've seen the pics of all the Brubaker boxes at AP INTL. The Single Cuts are here, the Single Cuts are here.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a white Brute pickguard with just the MM bridge pickup cutout. Anyone know who sells material similar in thickness to the stock pickguard?

Headed to Baltimore tonight to check out fellow Brubaker Artist Kevin Walker. Taking my black MJX5 as they might let me get down a little as well. Should be a fun time. Holla!!!

Hey if you get a MJX5 and add a coil splitter the front SC with the rear coil on the MM makes for mean JB tone. I did this with my Brute Single Cut and always end up playing this combo. Man it just sounds so good to my ears.

I hope this is the right place to ask, but several questions about the Brubaker Brute MJX-5
1. How does it sound compared to something like a classic Fender jazz? Does it have more of a P-bass sound (sorry if this sounds like I'm kinda new to bass)?
2. Where can you get one of these online? How about a more custom option (if there is one) for the MJX5? Any catalog to choose certain options?
3. What is the average weight of this bass?

Go to the Brubaker Guitars web site. There is a pdf you can download and has info on the Brutes.
Brutes have a modern aggressive sound. Does not sound like a jazz or a p-bass. With the front sc soloed it can get a pbass tone. The JJX has a nice fenderish tone as well. Like I said with a MJX and a coil splitter it can get a jazz bass like tone but not exactly but it is still very good.
