Brubaker JBX anyone?

In the market for a Sadowsky MV5 or a Mike Lull M5V. Sooo....a Brubaker JXB5 has popped up. I played an older (pre fire ...basically Kevins basement..5 with bassline soaps for a good while... I loved it. Now I am into the Jazz bass thing with a bit of a modern feel. Every clip I see of this bass is slapping. I love to slap but am into the bridge finger style. Anyone out there played one and can you tell me how they compare to the Sad or Lull?
thanks for any input

Kevin designed the JXB basses to take advantage of what Brubakers offer while not losing what Fenders are fundamentally about which has been why I didn't own one of bigger name boutique jazzes... my Fenders always seemed to do "Fender" better.

My JXB-6 is heavily inspired by my 1978 Fender J. 34" scale, 22 frets. I have dual coils but can switch to single coils that are in the same physical position as my Jazz. What I ended up with is a sonically faithful six string version of my 78, with Brubaker sustain, punch and playability.

I'm predominantly a finger style player, it does that and slap with absolute ease. A hard-hitting finesse instrument.

For a nice round bridge pickup burp I'd go with an Alder body. It'll give you that and still kill slap-wise.
