Building a jazz bass HELP!

Hello!

I'm building a jazz bass and i need a bit (actually a lot) of help with the components. I already made a walnut body, now i just need everything else lol.

I'm buying from these guys http://www.rockinger.com/index.php
So i want for someone who can pick me the best parts for a jazz bass, including electronics and things of that nature.. basicaly everything but the body.

Oh, pickup wise i'm thinking of either the custom shop 60's jazz bass pickups or the n3 noisless ones.

If someone's got the time to do this i would be realy greatful.

thanks for the help and info

I can't offer you any help, other than saying that I think you should be a little more specific as to what your ultimate goal is with this J Bass.

Active/passive?

Preferred fretboard material?

Preferred knobs?

Will you be using a control plate like a classic J Bass? Or do you plan on just bringing the knobs from the back/control cavity, through the body?

Pickguard? And preferred colors?

Neck wood? And preferred cut?

Bridge preference or ideas?

Tuners? Shape? Reverse or not?

String tensioner? Type? Classic round string t over D & G or more?

Fret size preference?

Etc. etc. etc.

I'm not sure what you need help with, but the planning, searching and building is the fun part.

It took me a little over a year to plan and 'build' this one. I'm still tweaking the setup, but it plays really good.

Body: Musikraft (2 piece Grade a Swamp Ash 4.1 lbs)
Finish: Guitar Mills (Nitro Honeyburst)
Neck and tuners: Fender Am
Pups: Fender Custom 60's
Pickguard: Fender Parchment
Control Plate and Neck Plate: Fender
Pots: CTS 250K Audio
Cap: 0.047 uf PIO
Jack: Switchcraft
Strings: TI Flats
