Can anyone tell me about Nova Basses? (made by john buscarino)

I am currently trying to move up to a 5 string and am trying to trade my Modulus quantum 4 for a respectable 5 string. This bass looks pretty nice and i have talked to the creator and he has said they are very nice instruments. Still, i have never held one in my hands and have only heard very little of its tone through youtube videos. So i was wondering if anyone could describe the sound and feel of this bass. What would be the best bass to compare it to? Any information would be very much appreciated.

I played a Nova thinline acoustic/electric bass once at the old The Bass Place in Tempe back in the Summer of '93 (sounds like a winner for a song title, eh?) It was quite similar to the Godin A4 model, but with an unusual 1 bolt neck attachment system. I have to say I did not walk out with that bass, but it is totally different from the Nova you show photos of. Maybe I was thinking of the Spanish meaning of Nova.
