Or maybe clear?
Def not tort... no way!

I have a honey burst Stingray with a tort pick guard and think it looks absolutely beautiful. The Photoshopped tort guard in your picture looks just like it.
I'm a huge burst/tort fan, so take my heavily biased opinion for what it's worth.

About the TRC: That's the thing where I wouldn't have a problem with. It's a break in the design for sure, but I could live with it.
Black was one of my options, too, but I think it would make the bass a bit too dark.
White Perloid was also on my mind, because I really want something different. I had white PG's on almost all basses I played and/or owned for the last three years.
I played around with a few colors today, gonna post the results tomorow because I don't have them here right now.
Thank you for all the posts and votes so far, read every single one! It's interesting to read. Seem's to be an interesting topic, pickguards an RICs. Please continue! |

I like the white better. It'd look even cooler relic'd (the pickguard that is) even though that's usually not my thing. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
