For example, I waited (and waited and waited) to pull the trigger, and I got a Pedulla Thunderbolt (which needed a ton of work) for under $400. Total for all the parts and labor plus bass price that I couldn't do was under $800. I'm just putting that out there - after all, if you don't like it, generally you can sell it for about what you paid for it.

What does everybody think of the Brubaker Brute 6's? Just trying to generate discussion. | Hasn't happened yet. Do you mean the possibility of one? |

I also agree with what you said about buying an instrument that is not made in the US or Europe. I have pretty much eliminated the Kingston out of my search. |

I hope I can get the chance to try some of the other basses that were mention above. When all is said and done, I just need to find a great bass that I can afford.
Does anybody have any opinions about the graphite necks that Modulus uses? |

I can't deal with 17.5mm and larger string spacing on 6 string basses, I like keeping the neck kind of slim as well. The Soundgear will have 16.5mm spacing, the BTB will have 19mm spacing, big differences.
