Fit and finish are excellent. Tom really did a great job with this bass. It's capable of stupid low action and balances perfectly sitting or standing.
I'll report back in after I've had some more quality time....
So how about some pics???? |

Tom is building quite a legacy one bass at a time... Congrats to the builder and the new owner

Thanks! I'm very happy. My third and probably not my last Clement bass. As many of you know Tom is great to work with, has a quick turnaround time and builds great stuff! Quote:

Let me post some pics of my #294 too front (close) rear (close) front (full) rear (full) headstock front headstock rear
Tom's work was really fast but we had to wait for more than a month for the Nordstrand pickups.
I have no idea when she is going to arrive at my place in Japan but at least I have something to look forward to

To my eye anyway. I wish Tom would start doing headstock fascia - imagine this baby with a head to match the top! |

What are you looking to do fretted? 4 string? Quote:

Now painted vintage colors I loooove the matching headstock. And thanks it is a beauty. But Tom has made many, many amazing looking basses. I knew the fretboard was going to be wild but wasn't sure about the top. But Tom recommended the combo and I'm glad I took his advice!

Fortunately that means it's easy to have any awesome bass. I tossed and turned a bit with my choices. The main concern being was the fretboard too wild compared to the body? I think it all worked out.
If Tom got some more black and white ebony I think Buckeye Burl, Black white ebony would be a rockin combo? Maybe too Larry Grahamish?
I also considered a redwood/bloodwood or maybe Bubinga? combo. Tom is pretty good at helping pick.
