clement 227 is for sale now.

I was the original owner, but a dream bass of mine became available. the new owner is now looking to sell. I can vouch that it's a killer.

Yes I have a problem. Have had several interesting trade offers but if I don't see anything that grabs me by Friday (when I'm back in town) 296 is getting some new frets.

I still have that loving feeling for #256 which is good...who would want a 7 string 19mm spaced fretless no knob controls bass any way. The 1st "Darlene" model line is MINE... ALL MINE!!!

Thought long and hard about #296, got home Friday and decided to make the investment in a fretjob. It really is an amazing bass, big, comfy and sounds great. Guess it looks pretty cool too..... So I dropped it off for a refret with some jumbo frets.

Back on topic... Aegagropila have you received #294 yet?

According to the tracking info, it is currently at the Tokyo Customs.
No idea how long it is going to stay there

Tracking info can be a great source of pain my friend. You know where it is and you cannot get to it. Such a first world complaint.

Aproud1,
Glad to hear of the refret decision. Would have loved to hear about the Fender 55 pups, clips?

Actually pulled them and put them in my Jazz bass with an old precision neck. They were a little too aggressive for my Clement. I had a feeling they might be too bright.Ended up swapping them for some very old EMG's that sound great. Funny thing about EMG's they sound terrible in some basses and amazing in others.

The Super 55's are probably the closest to single coil I've heard in a humbucker. They sound awesome in My other bass and are dead quiet. Though I haven't tried the humbucking Nordstrand or Fralins. I am very happy with the EMG's in my Clement and the 55's in my other bass. I could get sound clips for you if you want?

Looks like a terrible bottleneck of bureaucracy.

#300 is a 17-34 fretted with Phoenix body, redwood top, ebony fretboard, maple neck, Bartolini soap bar pickups and Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.

I already have a fretless built by Tom.

#187 although the previous owner changed the pickup and reshaped the lower body to facilitate playing sitting down.

No. Tom says he's starting to glue the body up this weekend. I ordered a Mike Pope preamp for it.
