He graciously agreed, so we drove up Sunday morning. Had a great time playing with his dogs and checking out his stock of wood. Took a few photos which I'll share early next week. Will also get to the man hisself play on Thursday evening at the Cabbage Patch bar.

Howdy, everyone. New to the club...#297. 17-35-5 Jon 3+" thick heavily-chambered Mahogany. 1-piece Western red cedar top. Hipshot piezo bridge and Bartolini buffer. Mahogany neck. 8.1 lbs. I finally got around to re-stringing #262 with DR Nickel lo-riders. I'd been thinking about it for while and I'm glad I did 
She really responded well - more pronounced 'mwah', swell seems to start earlier and mids are a bit more distinct. For what I use 262 for, it's a great match!

I assume the piezos are Graphtech ghosts in a Hipshot bridge - yes? |

What's the fingerboard on #297? Also, is it just the piezos and the buffer straight to the output jack, or are some potentiometers hidden somewhere?
