Yesterday... 6 WEEKS after I sent him my deposit, he sends me these photos among others and says proudly:
"Your bass is progressing much faster than I anticipated. I hope this doesn't cause distress at your end.( in regards to paying my balance early) It should be done in about 3 weeks." Attachment 63791 Attachment 63790
THREE WEEKS!?!?!?
I could'nt beleive my eyes!! Is that MY bass... already? 7 months early!?!?
I don't get it? Everything on this bass was custom! The neck, string spacing, laminates and inlays. WOW. I honestly expected to hear from him in maybe... 4-6 months at best. I am totally stunned and I'm still in shock.
The shop must have got pretty stoked about building this bass for me, cause It's quite unbelievable. I can't wait to see her all lathered up in oil! It's gonna be rediculous.

I haven't seen any F-basses with the same combination of specs, but I suspect it's gonna be a killer bass! Can't wait. Seriously. | Great stuff man, what is the body going to be made of?

What kind of string spacing did you get?
Nice to hear it will be early......do I have permission to touch it before it goes out?
Cheers,

You saw it before me?!?
Now you want to play it before me?!?
Ahhh what the heck, I'd be happy to let you take her for a spin at the shop. Besides, if you've been to the shop, you probably would have anyway! But now, you can really enjoy it. As long as you let us ALL know your honest opinion on MY... dream bass!! Oh, and private messages are welcome too Mitch.
You tell George... "Pat Bradley said so!!"
The spacing is 18mm with 2-1/8" at the nut. Being a 6'er, I really need the 18mm to feel comfortable. I'd take 20mm on a 4 or maybe a 5 but not 6. Also, I'm quite used to 17mm on my previous modulus Q6.
Pat.

That sure is a beauty, though!

But I got called an idiot for buying it from my mom, until I described it to her like this "Mom, this is like buying a taylor for $500". Then she understood (she has played guitar for about 30 years and really wants a taylor.
