I didn't exactly have an extra grand laying around either, but student loans that don't need to be paid back for four year even though I am no longer a student, and I work full time, are great.

Those BN4s are purty. How wide are they at the nut? They're not even listed on the website.

George doesn't like making four string basses anymore, so it is hard to get him to make one. But he still will (who in their right mind would turn down business?), but they cost more.

The F and I are on our way to a tough gig where extended range is required ( when is the last time THAT happened? )
I have had her for sale, but i am about a inch from pulling it off the market- the 6 string is starting to grow on me- even though the BN5 is my F bass of choice this BN6 is pretty amazing!

Standard specs on a BN4:

-1.6" at nut
-34.5" scale.

All other specs are optional..(1.5" at nut, 34" scale, Etc...)

All BN4's are custom orders.

My old one (that I just sold) was a 1.5" nut. I just assumed that all were...

I hope the gig goes well, and that you and this fine BN6 can be friends for some time to come.

Really? I thought that 34" scale was the default on a BN4, since George only went to 34.5" to achieve what he wanted out of a B-string.

At any rate, my BN4 is 34" scale. I'll have to measure the width at the nut, though.

And what the heck, one or two more photos for good measure!

I agree, though in all honesty, I was not the original owner, so I can't take credit.

it may have been said already but the glock pre the grooveshoppe use is one they designed with glock, you can buy it through the grooveshoppe or you can buy glocks standard pre from them.

I wouldn't feel too bad, Fred. Yes, Tom's bass is pretty wicked looking. But your new BN4 ain't too shabby either. The enhanced grain is a show-stopper!
