Vic - thanks for your thoughtful response - I was aware of that, but wasn't thinking about it yet. I'm glad you mentioned it!
So, I'm thinking of ordering some custom VF5's and I wanted to get my fellow Club members' input.
#1) VF5 in P/J configuration - this would likely feature a Nordstrand P pickup, and "single coil" at the bridge. I'm thinking ash/maple.
#2) VD5 with MM/J configuration - a music man style humbucker in the bridge, "single coil" in the neck. Ash/maple.
What do you guys think? And what colors should I order first? As observed, the single coils would need to be hum canceling...

Please DO NOT order an ash/maple VF4 (and definately NOT with a tobacco-burst finsh and brown tort p/g). |

If this is the bass I played at Tom's, I can tell you a funny story about it. |

What do you guys think? And what colors should I order first? | Personally, I would put the single coil at the bridge and the P at the neck.
I like just about any color, personally.
They all look great!

And yes this is a real club. It's 6 threads deep now.
