Thanks for the kind comments.
Love these and can't wait to have my flat in Paris in order to have all my gears together ^^
Vince | By the way, Vince, did I ever tell you that my in-laws live in France?
They are in the Deux-Sèvres region in a small village near Sainte Gemme and Saint-Varent, called Saint Guillaume.
It's pretty much impossible to find them on a map, but it is the coolest place ever. We love visiting them there.

I have 3 requests at my funeral:
1. Bagpipes (I'm part Scottish)
2. Tlingit dancers (I'm part Native American)
3. My BN5 and AC6 have to be buried with me

I don't mean to be selfish, I just don't think heaven would be heaven without my Fbasses!

I used Fbass strings until recently when I tried Thomastik Infeld Jazz FLATS.
I was very curious about them, and perhaps a bit skeptical as well. People were praising these strings like the sales guys that say, "It's not just a floor wax, it's a dessert topping!"
So just before I changed them, I recorded a few lines with the Fbass rounds, just whatever popped into my head, then changed to the TIJFs and recorded the same lines so I could compare.
I was pleased to discover the TIJFs sound great both with the magnetic pickups and the piezos.
But what is better, after a bit the TIJFs broke in and REALLY sounded great. In fact, I should do another recording of the same lines to document the break in tone.
Anyway, if you want to hear the comparison yourself, click here. The first time you hear a line it is with the Fbass strings. The second time is with the TIJFs.
Just don't be too critrical of the playing or the quality of the recording. This was meant to be just a quick comparison for myself.
Anyway, I'd DEFINITELY recommend either of those strings for an AC5 or AC6.

That place looks indeed pretty cool, near Poitiers, Niort, Angers....Not far from tha Atlantic ocean too!
Let me know if someday you're around here and want to come to Paris where I'm living now!!
Could be cool having a beer and discussing a bit!
By the Way, your AC6 woods are off the charts!!!
