Thanks, Ryan.

If it's okay with everyone else here, I might get this club organized.

But the Dingwall is definely FS here in Europe, let's see when it will leave?

Thanks for the kind comments.
Love these and can't wait to have my flat in Paris in order to have all my gears together ^^

By the way, Vince, did I ever tell you that my in-laws live in France?

They are in the Deux-Sèvres region in a small village near Sainte Gemme and Saint-Varent, called Saint Guillaume.

It's pretty much impossible to find them on a map, but it is the coolest place ever. We love visiting them there.

My 3 Fbasses... so far!

Okay, I just observed from another club that when our Club thread gets restarted, we are supposed to post a photo of our Fbasses to start the new chapter.

So, kicking this new year and new club thread off right...

Tom7... I'd love to see the back of your fretless! (AC6?)

That flame looks like it's just 'boiling over' the top... cool.

Nice.

I have 3 requests at my funeral:

1. Bagpipes (I'm part Scottish)

2. Tlingit dancers (I'm part Native American)

3. My BN5 and AC6 have to be buried with me

Okay. Bury the Native dancers with me instead.

I don't mean to be selfish, I just don't think heaven would be heaven without my Fbasses!

I'm sorry! I forgot to go check out your other thread!

I used Fbass strings until recently when I tried Thomastik Infeld Jazz FLATS.

I was very curious about them, and perhaps a bit skeptical as well. People were praising these strings like the sales guys that say, "It's not just a floor wax, it's a dessert topping!"

So just before I changed them, I recorded a few lines with the Fbass rounds, just whatever popped into my head, then changed to the TIJFs and recorded the same lines so I could compare.

I was pleased to discover the TIJFs sound great both with the magnetic pickups and the piezos.

But what is better, after a bit the TIJFs broke in and REALLY sounded great. In fact, I should do another recording of the same lines to document the break in tone.

Anyway, if you want to hear the comparison yourself, click here. The first time you hear a line it is with the Fbass strings. The second time is with the TIJFs.

Just don't be too critrical of the playing or the quality of the recording. This was meant to be just a quick comparison for myself.

Anyway, I'd DEFINITELY recommend either of those strings for an AC5 or AC6.

Thanks I just realized I have "Pearl Jam - 10" on there twice, though. It took me forever to get it down to 50... Now I have to choose 1 more! argh...

Might want to include...

4. Undisclosed burial location

5. 24-hour security on your grave

No you haven't told me!
That place looks indeed pretty cool, near Poitiers, Niort, Angers....Not far from tha Atlantic ocean too!

Let me know if someday you're around here and want to come to Paris where I'm living now!!
Could be cool having a beer and discussing a bit!

By the Way, your AC6 woods are off the charts!!!
