Awesome job Tom7! I always check the F Bass club thread and there are times that the only ones here are me and the crickets. I look forward to this becoming a more lively place in no small part due to your efforts.
Thank you!
Al

That is interesting about Vic taking that VF5. I considered it briefly as well, but then opted to get the VF5 from Donovan. It's my understanding that except for the bridges, they are identical.
Vic's bent plate is no doubt a truer 60s vibe, but I loved the tone of Donovan's youtube videos too much to resist the VF5 with the BA5 bridge.
At any rate, LOVED the photos. Thanks again.

Al | Thanks, Al. I hope it stays more lively... and that guys will put their club number in their signature so that everyone else can see how many Fbass players we have around here. Quote:

Also, it was cool to see you like Demeter and Accugroove stuff as well.
I have a Demeter HB 600 head and an Accugroove El Whappo cabinet that are the perfect showcase for my Fbasses.

Anyway....
I thought I'd let y'all know I'm calling in sick to this forum for the next few days. I'll be at a film festival, and it starts early and goes late and I don't know how much I'll be online, and if I am, it will probably only be browing from a phone.
So if you guys have suggestions about the club roster, I'm not ignoring you; I'll see them and respond next week.
Cheers,
Tom

Just wondering if any of the NAMM visitors checked it out at all? I would have expected it to have a mention?
Of course, it could just be a miscellaneous Yellow Box in which case I apologise for taking attention away from the VF5!! Hehe... Quote:

What are the benefits / downside of the wood bridges on the fretless 5 or 6 string models? Most seem to have the wood bridge and I would think you are then stuck with the string height and intonation (does that matter on a fretless?).
Thanks for any advice on this.
