![]() I want in on this club. First thought that entered my head when I plugged this bass in: "I've wasted years searching and trading when I should've just gotten a $$%^'n FBass in the first place!!!" My NYC Sadowsky PJ5 is still my number one workhorse, but this is hands down the best 6 I've ever owned (Atelier/MTD (x4), Smith, Warwick, Modulus). The Scale length solves two problems for me: My left wrist not liking ANY 35" Scale design and my ears not liking how thin sounding 34" scale C strings sound, or 35" C strings for that matter. JUST right with this design. Very excited over here! |

More to Report OK, a few more awesome observations from last night. 1) The highest notes on the C string are the best sounding I've ever heard. The sustain is remarkable, but the notes sound thick and full throughout the decay of the note. fantastic. 2) The rigidity of the neck design coupled with (I think) the 'just right' scale length of 34.5" equals a bass that can hold lower action than any I've tried. I normally like a medium setup to dig in more, but I was surprised at how I could still do this with the action set right at 3/32nd's measuring underneath the bottom of each string to the last fret, and not fretting the first fret either. 3) The 19mm spacing coupled with what feels to me a narrower nut than other 'wide-spaced' sixers I've owned is just perfect. I've gotten to where I really notice the difference between 18mm and 19mm after gigging the crap out of my Sadowsky PJ5. GOTTA have 19mm. Need that extra room for slapping, and to make sure that my left hand doesn't grab the g string when it means to grab the C string. The overall ergonomics of this bass just work. |
Hello, my Fbass brothers. I think of buying AC6 or BNF6 in 2 or 3 months. Is anybody gonna sell? May I ask this question here? :) |
