this will be amazing!! | Come to think of it, I'll have an AC6 with 2 magnetic pickups (the fretted), an AC6 with 1 magnetic pickup (the fretless), and an AC6 with no magnetic pickups (the AC6-acoustic).
Now I'd like to get a couple of double gig bags, so I could put both fretless AC6s in one, and my fretted AC6 and BN6 in the other and show up ready for anything!

BTW, I've updated the club roster to include your latest addition, but I have you as #93 (your signature says #94). You can have 94 if you want, or 93 if you prefer.
When guys sell their Fs, I've been moving them to the former owners list, but I'm going to stop doing that.
If it's okay with you guys, I'd like to change the club policy.
If you've owned an F, you are in the club with a number. Period.
It's kind of like if you were in an Olympics, you are an Olympian, even if it was decades ago.
If that's okay with everyone, then I'll grab the former owners list and move them to the club roster and then we can keep the club going without having to change numbers if people sell their basses.
What think ye?

For everyone out there...keep your eye on this one , the prototype was one of the top fretlesses I've ever played.
Cheers,

Some of you may remember that ever since I got my AC6, I've been wishing I had two. I wanted to put put Thomastik Infeld Jazz flats on one and tweak it toward acoustic sounds, and then keep Fbass rounds on another and tweak it toward Jaco and Alain. I've even come close to buying a used one as I've seen them pop up now and again.
However, for a couple of years now George and I have been visiting via emails about a new bass he's been working towards for Alain Caron: an ACOUSTIC AC model.
Realizing that this was going to be real some day, and that I'd want one, I quit looking for a second AC6.
Fast forward to August 2010.
I got an email from George letting me know he had finished with research and development, had a working prototype, and that Alain "flipped out" over it.
I forwarded the email to my wife with the subject line: "my entire Christmas wish list," and tried my best to put this dream bass out of my mind.
Unknown to me though, my wife called George and the two of them schemed out the building of this dream bass as a Christmas gift to me.
Then yesterday, I accidentally said something that caused my wife to worry that I wanted something else (a different bass) so she reluctantly told me about the surprise.
Not only did I need to sit down, I honestly thought I was going to faint.
I cannot tell you how much I want this bass, and how blown my mind is still that it is really coming! | |
