To get a year out of a 9V is pretty darn good. So, I just stick with that. But, my gig bag always has a box
of fresh batteries just in case! I would never leave a cord plugged in my bass unless I was playing it!

Pretty sweet; available at the Sadowsky Store.

Thanks y'all. I'll see if I can find one locally. I was just concerned about tonal deterioration that snuck up on ya. Always nice to be confident that you're getting full potential from the preamp.

Hummm...

Almost my dream bass... Just not sure about that soap-bar in the bridge position? It looks "off" to me from an aesthetic pov. I would greatly prefer a standard J in there.
My 2 cents...

I'd say it looks "different", but honestly, I'm betting the first P/J did too, back in the day... even moreso than this config as the first (as far as I know) truly mixed pickup config.

My thought is, it'd have a fatter sound, which might pair REALLY well with the naturally fatter sounding P pickup. If I was in the market at all for a new "P/J style" bass, I'd have this one on the way already.

Bluesy.

You really need this Red 5 str Bass to match your red 4 str Bass.

La la la la la la.....(fingers in ears) not listening....la la la la...

For what it's worth, I'm on hiatus. My guitarist quit. Or am I fired? Whatever. Of course, this means no more music supplies are required/necessary.

My Sadowsky NYC 5

This has been my main gigging bass for the last 4 years..I wasn't a big fan of maple fingerboards but I got a good deal on this bass. Needless to say I have fallen in love with it over the years.

That's an amzing looking bass. Spalted maple is my favorite exotic top. Congrats!
