Yes. Actually I spec'ed it not as a sparkle, since I find supersparkle a little over the top. I asked for a highly flaked metallic finish, and it came out perfectly.

It's not fair that you do this to your fellow club members. Share your secret here and open a thread to tease the other TBers.

It's been a lot of fun! We finished the basic tracks yesterday, so my Sadowsky got its job done. I can't say it eonugh times: I love the tones I got even if I couldn't change the strings before the sessions.

Now I'm looking forward to the string arrangements I'm recording on DB.

I sold this (stupidly) in 2000 or 2001. Wonder if anyone here is the current owner. It used to be owned by Dave Boonshoft (Aguilar). Great caramel deep quilt. Can't recall serial.

mahogany body
ebony fingerboard

matching headstock
d-tuner (a-tuner?)
Schaller security locks
chrome hardware

19mm string spacing
1 3/4" nut width

Roger's signature on the back of the headstock
around 8 lbs

... plus a 'mystery feature'. However, if you remember Club Sadowsky Part 29...

Well, I don't even have a body shot yet, so it's easy right now.

Enough on the fretboard to show a rocketship launching from the neck pocket to the head of the bass in stop motion with flickering flames at the tail of the rocket... all in white and red! It explodes when it gets to the first and second fret.

Talking pickups

So I just ordered some Sadowsky 4-string HC's for my Lakland DJ4. It's a great bass but it's certainly not my Metro HPJ. I'm hoping it'll give it a fraction of that great Sadowsky tone. I was trying to decide between the Aguilar 70's wind and routing it and dropping in Nordy Big Singles...
Then I figured I can't go wrong with Sadowskys... they seem to make everything better, right?

Of course this will all be run thru a Sadowsky outboard.
