Yes, but it has been quite a few months since we last emailed. I hope he's okay. His last words were that he was super busy. Maybe he's recording something new? I will shoot him an email now...Done.

His last post was in "Woodstock 1969" thread not too long ago in September.

I put up a FT ad in the classifieds but thought someone here might be looking...

I have two brand new sets of Sadowsky Blue Label Nickels (45-130T) that I'd like to trade for the same in lights (40-125T). So if you prefer the regular gauge and have some new lights laying around, I'd be glad to swap ya. Just Blues though. Not looking for an outright sale, other brands or the Black Labels.

Edit: Might go for SS as well.

I contacted a friend of his from Toronto and he has told me that he saw him online on facebook a couple of days ago. Maybe he's just super busy or he needs a little bit of time away from the forums. I hope we have him back here soon.

Kevin just sent me an email with this little gem attached:

Add 5lbs for the rest of the instrument for an approx final weight – we arrive at 8.6 lbs !!! I asked, and they delivered! Even lighter then requested, while still keeping it an unchambered solid body!
NICE !

At this point I am thinking about selling my Lakland 55 94 and getting a Sadowsky 5 and going all Sadowsky.
Nothing wrong with going ALL Sadowsky, they are some great basses. Funny what you just said about selling. Here is what has recently happened to me. I bought my NYC standard 5 which was my first SADOWSKY bass, after owning it for 3 months i custom ordered a NYC 5 Vintage, this custom order i was gonna mainly use to solo with and things of that nature, well recently i am loving the Standard (My first Sadowsky) for soloing and the NYC Vintage 5 with SC for slap go figure, so they have since swapped jobs. Still love em both. Was thinking about going to the shop and pay to have the action set up IDENTICAL. Love the action on my STANDARD. The NYC is close but still slightly higher than i would like. Perhaps after the HOLIDAYS as i am more than sure the crew is very busy and the last thing on their mind is to adjust string height on a Sadowsky...Cheers.

Very nice! I may be in the minority but, I prefer the pieces of ebony that have figuring to the plain, solid color pieces.

This is going to be the norm sooner than later.
There is a great video on YouTube of Bob Taylor discussing the ebony situation.

I encourage all of you to watch it.
