Dying to finsh the new cd art and get back to playin'!

Anyway after I learned a hard lesson about buying used I picked up this new Metro HPJ about three months ago from Bass San Diego. Bass San Diego had nothing to do with my used bass fiasco. I couldn't be happier with the bass and with how good the guys at Bass San Diego are to deal with.

and with my band last Saturday night, as you can see it was a slow night at Hidden Harbor Marina. Might be a reason for the name or it could be because it is December at a marina in Minnesota! Love the mirror image of the back of the neck in the TV screen.
Just can't say enough about how much I love the Sadowsky HPJ my Fender P-Bass's have been pretty much idle since this one arrived. I really like the wood grain and the body vibrates to beat heck when plucked and sounds so good. Can I have a number please.

There's an amazing one on the Sadowsky site right now. I love an old-school P, and I'm sure the Lollar single coil sounds amazing, but I'm also kind of afraid of being limited by that single pickup (and I'm wondering if it's noisy at all). I'm guessing the preamp makes up for it, but does anybody here know first-hand what they sound like? |
