Now that would be "none more black!" Get to work on that, Vic! | Add an ebony finger board, DR black beauties and a matching headstock. Then and only then, could it be "none more black". |

I did think of all that, tho, but then I realized it looks cooler when you have some contrast and can see stuff, so I gave up on the "stealth" thing. It currently wears a chrome plate (tho still black dome knobs) and a black/red tort guard. I like it a lot better that way: |

Nothing important here. just a cheezy baby vid. But I watched it a *lot* yesterday, for obvious reasons. |

I think the only one I would get rid of mine for is a rosewood fingerboard version like yours.

She can't seem to stay away from my instrument rack, but she goes for the acoustic guitar the most because she can hear it more when she picks at the strings. |

Play it in good health. I'm all kinds of happy for you, mostly because it would kill me to have to sell my Standard 5. Or strangely, even my straight-up, non-unique Fender Am. Std P5. Weird how we get attached to certain instruments but not others. If I had a bunch of $, I'd sell off my Lakland 55-02 in a minute to buy a US version.
Uh, or a flame-topped Sadowsky. |

We shared the same backline amp and he had a Fender custom shop 5 string J bass and a Fender 5 String american standard deluxe. When I got my Bass out he said he has been seeing that shaped headstock on CMT and other places and couldnt read the name but knew it started with an S. (I played his fenders. They were heavy and not set up near as well as my NYC.) He played my Sadowsky and fell in love. The last song of the night we called the whole band on stage for a collaboration and I handed him my Sadowsky and just grabbed a mic to sing some harmonies. After the show he got a notepad and pen and wrote down the Sadowsky Website address and everything about them that I could tell him. He is a great player with great gear and great job with the funds for whatever he wants to play but had never actually heard of Sadowsky which shocked me. He said he has never picked up a bass, played one song and fell in love with it before until last night. Hopefully I will have another Sadowsky player that lives within 15 minutes of me.

They always love the tone but when they pick the Bass up and play it they are blown away. Bluesy, Isnt it about time for you to buy another one? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
