Time to put your order in if you were thinking of getting the new Sadowsky onboard bass preamp assembly.

A pretty good recording of my Will Lee from church yesterday.
I hit the HipShot Doulbe Stop lever towards the end of the tune dropping my E all the way down to low B.
And it sounds killer!

Path:
WL-Demeter Compulator-DB750 DI post EQ-FOH/board

Freakin LOVE this bass!

I'm pretty OCD and have good ears. I've never noticed even the slightest difference in tone or response with a shim, and I've done lots of them. I only hesitated with this bass because of the cost of the bass and the risk of cracking the body finish taking the neck off.

I think Rick turner was the one who said tight neck pockets don't even matter as long as the bolts are tight.

Well, a shim job on a bass with a nice tight neck pocket honestly shouldn't be noticeable to the human ear, which is why I said it's not really a big deal, but I definitely disagree with Rick that a tight neck pocket literally doesn't matter.

Yeah, not a bad sounding "B" string considering its a D'Addario .100 d-tuned!
Sadowsky....the best sounding B string on any 4 string...err....wait....hmm..

I like how they moved the logo over to accommodate for the quick release string tree on the 4 string.
It now lines up just like the 5 string.
Nice!

Oh Lordy....I can see it now:
"Pre logo shift era Sadowsky's sound better than post logo shift....."
And used "pre logo shift" prices go through the roof!

Contemplating putting in an order for a new Sadowsky...Can't decide on the color though. It's between Candy Apple Orange, Shell Pink, Trans-Walnut, or Trans-Burgundy.

Decisions decisions...

I'm also trying to decide if I should get it as solid Ash or not. Will it sound much different without the chambering?
