Here is something interesting I would like to share. I recently wrote J.W. Black, one of the builders listed on the headstock (see above). I sent him a couple of photos of the bass and comments about my "Vintage" Sadowsky, this is what he wrote back to me: "Hi Ken
Thank you for the photo's.
It was just Roger and myself in 1988 era, so either one of us could have done the work.
But , looks in remarkably great condition for its age, and Roger is correct, that is a very light Bass.
Thank you for the photo's and glad to hear Roger still had a record from that long ago (Roger showed me the log book when I visited the shop in 2008), its nice to see history and amazing how fast time flies.
It took me a moment to absorb the term vintage in reference to Sadowsky, but we called a '63 Strat vintage in '73 , I guess its all relative
