Does anyone know if the shop is closed today? I am hoping they are just out to lunch, don't want to take the drive and then find out it is closed.

The only caveat to the Hamilton is that the telescoping hanger section is somewhat less secure. Specifically, it's held up by tightening a screw (top plastic knob in photo), and if you don't tighten it enough, the weight of the bass could pull the telescoping thing down into the shaft and the butt of your bass could hit the ground. Answer: make sure the knob is good and tight. Still, the Hercules telescoping hanger is secured with a pin-into-hole mechanism (forgive my non-technical jargon!) which has never failed me. |

The thing I don't love is the vintage tint. Kind of makes for one too many 'colours' on that bass, because the blue seems to make the fretboard redder and the headstock yellower. |

I think the Bora blue basses look much nicer with maple fingerboards.

I'll think I'll be using it quite a bit on my gig tomorrow.
I almost forgot. I purchased the bass from Brian at the Lowend and he said this was one of Tully Kennedy's Sadowsky's.

...and it comes with some mojo too
congrats! |

| | | | I'll take a number! Count me in! Here is my new addition, a perfect compliment to my Rob Allen Mouse custom. My partner brought my bass to a family dinner while I was out of town, and my dad tried his hand at playing.

What do you all think about the new 24 fret Metros that are due in 4-5 months? A Vintage 24 fret would really be of interest to me. I'm sure the Modern 24 fret has to have some people excited, as well. Any thoughts?
