I just took a few shots of mine without the pickguard and I wanted to show how the finished has darkened in the almost four years that it has been with me: |

B. | The neck feels fantastic. Exactly like the neck on my double bass. I haven't oiled again; I guess that my own personal brand of body oil is doing the job just fine. |

Blair: personally, I prefer the gold p/g, by a lot. Clearly, that's a ymmv sitch.

As you can see, she's a beaut and needless to say, sounds...well... just great ! The vintage tone control is VERY good.
Aesthetically beautiful too (as you can see in the pics). The morado fingerboard on this particular bass is absolutely stunning !
I'd like to thank both George Ganakas from Bassgeardirect in Sydney, and Roger Sadowsky himself, for all their assistance related to my purchase. Customer service par excellence from both Gentlemen.
All the best
Todd
Ps: Can't wait to gig her! | Looks great, I have her little sister on order, and that's gonna be swell as well.

Congrats, all the best with it! | Funny thing, I assumed being a 1.5" nut width neck that the string spacing would be 19mm. Silly me, I didn't think to ask about the string spacing before I bought it, so at 20mm it's a little wider than I am accustomed, but after a few hours I have to agree, a very comfortable neck. It's especially noticeable with lighter woods like maple, ash, etc.
Hint to those who install maple wood floors like I did, open all the shades and don't place any furniture, rugs or anything on the floors in the room for a few weeks to a month to allow even "darkening."

| Ultra Vintage exposure? Sure, Our music is quite vintage.
Just kidding
Not direct sunlight, but indirect natural light and the lights in my living room. I think it gets more exposure to strong lights on stage. I don't know if those can have any effect in the darknening process. |

Natural light will do it, even if it's reflected. Stage lights for the most part shouldn't be an issue unless they're mercury vapor, but if you use black lights on stage - that's another story. |

I highly recommend anyone going the build route to spring for a change out of PG. It's really refreshing to see your squeeze with a new dress on as desired.

(The mint shows well against the white background on the fretboard pics above.)

B. | Can you please send me your will on a signed paper? Can you imagine how cool it will be side by side with my PJ? Oh! By the way, I will be too old to rock your bass when they have to pry it from your cold dead hands, but Jacob likes yours better than mine and he's becoming a great bassist on his own right. . |

I'm working on a way to take it with me when I leave so don't count on it crossing the pond amigo.
I often think of Jacob & hope he's developing his passion. That's as important as the study I feel. We'll see about the rest when my knuckles lock up. Say hey for me.
