And yeah it has I sold my Ampeg rig for this one, so much more my style |

One day Sandberg must come to the shores of America - however I wonder if they will be taxed to death before that can happen?
Next I am thinking about installing the 4 steel pins near the neck pocket - simply because it looks so cool and almost nobody here knows what it is.
Yes, I am building a Sandberg replica! |

Sorry it took so long, but if your question for one is hidden in a post title I can't help it... Ask properly or pm me if you have been overlooked. No need to make a fuss...

No hard feelings.
Your California looks great, Sandberg really has an artist aging thir basses. There are a couple of youtube videos where you can see how it's done.
How would you compare the built quality of your Sandberg compared to the higher end models you own Pedulla, Ken Smith, Sadowski, etc.. ?

Build quality, and attention to detail are a step above any custom shop Fender, and are more durable and road worthy than any Sadowsky. It feels like an old friend, that you can depend on to give you what ever sound you need. I consider myself very lucky to have purchased this bass from a soldier, stationed in Germany. As you know bass players are quirky sorts, that trade and sell their beautiful basses, but this beauty will be with me forever. Thank you for being so gracious, and believe me, when people ask about my sound, I will proudly school them about German craftsmanship! Thanks for the number!

I'm very glad that you enjoy your Sandberg that much. If you get a chance you must try some other models too. Something like a Panther or a Custom Supreme, they are just mindblowing, but not easy to come along one of them, not even in Germany.
Enjoy.
