"Compound" string spacing bridge?

So I've been thinking about this:
19mm feels just about right for spacing between E and A. However, most of the time I feel D is too far from A and G is too far from D. Are there factory guitars with a 19mm/18mm/17mm spacing or alike? Also, planning to use separated rails for the bridge in this build. I am aware of the 3D bridge and jazz bass with multithreaded saddles, I am just interested if there are people who build and play instruments with compound spacing, and what'd be their opinion on it.

That being said, P bass is the worst bass ever. It's true because I say so.

If you get a guitar with an adjustable-spacing bridge OR a replacement A/S bridge for your bass you can do it. I always adjust my spacing EQUAL BETWEEN strings.

A good, wide(& of course, adjustable)bridge should allow you to do that- I run the D, G & C strings a bit tighter than the B, E and A on my Stambaugh 6er. IIRC it has a Hipshot bridge

We use Hipshots custom made for us, but they make stock replacements as well. Schaller, of course AND.... if your existing bridge has replaceable saddles, you can get replacements that you can notch yourself to whatever spacing you need. Less expensive than a total bridge replacement.

As said, there are single string bridges out there. I'm having a 6-string custom done with 14mm spacing using a kahler bridge that allows you to adjust the string spacing and get them real close if you like. Here's the four string version of that.
