The pup is very earthy sounding. Reminds me of a cross between a P and acoustic bass.
The bass is much more stunning in person by the way. Color is very hard to photograph.

There are lots of better choices out there. For me, the Fralin P pup is where the magic is. Some people like the BA bridge, some don't. I'm in the "don't" camp. The standard Fender vintage-style bridge gets the job done for me.

As for authenticity, I can't imagine a potential buyer with that kind of $$ flying to Memphis, meeting at a Bank (as required) and purchasing an instrument that isn't what the auction says this one is.
I know there's a suckah born every minute, but IMO, any collector with the wherewithal that would even consider spending 95 large for an instrument would most likely know what they're doing.
