Coronado / Starfire

Hi. New here.

I own a Wildwood Fender Coronado II and a 60s Guild Starfire II bass.

I am about to purchase two more, one of each without playing them. Both are advertised as MINT and sound amazing etc (blah blah). I wanted to know if anyone knows if these guitars vary a lot from each other?

I know the Fender Coronado Bass is not a favorite here like the Starfire but to me the the Cornado 'Wildwood' I have is by far my favorite bass. Not just for looks, it has the 'bright' sound that I love while I also love the Guild, it has more of a deeper tone. I know the Wildwood's are beechwood bodies and not maple and they are slightly brighter than the non Wildwood Coronados. I know the Starfire can handle volume a little better and the Guild 60s pick ups are slightly more dynamic in a few different types of musics.. but the coronado has the flat bright sound I love. I use them all with the Guild Thunderbird amp.

Anyway, if anyone has experience in buying without playing and consistancy experience between models please let me know.

Also one more question, I have a Wildwood body with no neck or pick ups and I was considering putting Dark Stars in it.. anyone know if this is an easy drop in or is it more complicated?
