CORRECT JAZZ BASS CONTROL KNOBS ?

Sign in to disble this ad
Where can I find the specs for the correct control knob types for a specific year Jazz Bass ?
I have a set of the numbered ones with "volume " and " tone " on them , all the same size , my mid nineties has the standard black ones with the smaller tone knob , and of course there`s the knurled chrome type . Im not sure if the different types were options at the time of sale or if they were year-specific . Thanks in advance .

If you go to the fender website, they have a documentation area. There are parts lists with diagrams.

I have a MIM '00 that has the 2 strat-style V/V/T setup. They also had a "revised" version that came out shortly thereafter that had the plain, black Vol./Vol. setup with a smaller tone knob. The MIA versions probably were on the large/large/small plan much earlier.
