Cort Action Bass worth $100 ???

It will be my first bass.
Are they cheaply made?
I dont mind upgrading pups later but if it is poorly made then why bother.

Let me know what you guys/gals think.
Thanks, Elwood.

I'd pick Yamaha over Cort any day of the week.

I started out on a Cort Action and loved it. Yamaha gets better at lower cost points than a lot of companies, but don't do much for me on the lower price end. I'd take the Cort if it were me.

I think Cort gets a bit of a bad reputation(possibly because they aren't as well known comparative to other budget priced instruments). I like the low cost Yamahas. They are very well made and have good tone. I don't think Cort falls off much at all though. Especially when you get to the next level up(B4, B5 series). I have one, and its a fantastic bass. Light weight, resonant, and easy to play. I recommend you check them both out first.

Aren't the cheaper Yammy's made in the Cort Indonesian factory anyway?
