I was going to buy this for my grandson but didnt. I have not seen this bass are played only pictures on craigslist. Someone told me they are on ebay also. I play a Fender P USA model. I was thinking about buying this bass because it was cheap $200.00. and using it as a bar guitar, we also play anything from old country to rock blues to Jazz. Depends on what they want to hear. I heard these guitars are made from composites, and the only real thing that scares me, I heard they dont do well in the sun. We do alot of out door gigs and I have played 4hr gigs in 99 to 101 degree weather in the sun. Are these Bass guitars cool Id like something a little out of the norm. a different sound.

I came real close to buying one but found a better deal on a different bass. At $200, I would jump on it, but... I also heard that the body is made of a plastic polymer, not wood, and have warped in the sun on hot days. This is an unconfirmed rumor, as in "I once knew a guy who's cousin's friend had one that warped". When I was looking at them and found one for 2 bills, I would be rockin it right now.

4 hours in 100 degrees? I'd be more worried about me than my bass!

I owned a 5 string fretless version or the Cort Curbow from 2000. I bought it used online, and when I got it the neck was warped beyond the truss rod's ability to flatten it out and the action was unplayably high. It had the one-piece neck, and Cort acknowledged that those were apparently very susceptible to warping, sun or not. On the plus side, the factory did replace it with the newer neck free of charge. It's a great little bass. Like any bass, try and keep it out of direct sunlight.
