Cort Curbow 6

NBD for me.

I walked into my buddy's shop today, and there it was, a used blue Cort Curbow 6 for $399.

I had wanted to see one in person for years. Many, many times I've browsed the internet looking for one. The prices always varied as did the reviews so I opted not to order.

Long story short, I traded an Epi LP for it (no money involved), took it home, set it up (the action SUCKED) and now it plays and sounds so good! It came with a form fitted case too. The guitar was just stored by its previous owner. It still had the manufacturer shipping plastic and inspection stickers on it and all its paperwork! The damned thing is flawless.

I know there aren't many fans out there but I'm one for sure now.

Cort Curbows are a decent bang for the buck. Hard to find a case, so you scored there. Congrats on your invisible bass.

I have one myself, well, kind of. I got mine for $25 and it is FAR from original. It has a different neck on it but it plays nice. I would rather have a fretted neck or at least markings on the neck. It has no markings at all which makes it hard for me to play since I have never played a fretless before. It is probably worth my investment in a fretted neck.

Pretty wild! J.Y. What is it? It's not a Cort, but it's not a real Curbow either, but it definitely has the same design cues. The Cort has an Ebanol fingerboard and Luthite body. Looks like both are wood. What's the weight like.

Did Curbow license/design for another company?

How does it play and where did you find that for $25?

Thanks. I'm having a hard time putting her down. I've dialed in a couple different tones and can't get over the fact that it plays easier than my 5er. I think a lot of people are missing out.

I've never touched a fretless bass. I'm going to have to try one out.

Does the neck pocket extend to the pickup?

be careful of leaving the Cort Curbow in a hot car, or in direct sunlight for long periods of time..

my local shop has one, and the body is warped.. the entire bridge area has pulled up, it's as if the body softened and the string pull warped the body..

i like the Cort Curbow, and 399 is a good deal, especially with the case..

I had a blue 5 string fretted Cort that I bought to see if I'd switch up to a 5 string
After I set the neck it played amazingly well but had one kinda dead spot at the 14th fret on the D string
No natural tone on these guitars but with a decent amp they're great bang for the buck!
Congrats on your!
