Ok Cort fans anybody have experience with this bass? Found one today for just under $200.00

loved the neck but I'm not much for bolt on's

strings were dead as hell...and the neck needed a slight adjustment...i put it on hold till the 27th...hoping they will let me throw some DR's on it and give it a real test drive...

anybody play one of these?

looks like this

I have a c4h that I love, same as that, just with MM pickups and no Zebrawood top, the neck is fantastic!

I own the C4Z. Great neck, never had a bad sound out of it. I'm a casual bass player, jack of all instruments sort of. I like it. Always wanted to put Barts in it but don't have time anymore, don't think I'm missing anything. I won't sell it. Fwiw, I've got flatwounds on it now. I use my sons Ibanez 5 string for round wound sounds.

I own a C4 - pretty much the same bass, except for the zebrano top. Very nice little workhorse...the only weak point = electronics (the sound is "meh"); I like the generic Cort nasal tone, but I'd like to replace the stock Mighty Mites with Barts...thing is, AFAIK they don't fit exactly and I don't have any wood working skills so I'm afraid to mess with it.

C4H is a completely different bass though: different neck, body, electronics, feel and tone. I had one of those too but at some point the headstock snapped by itself so I gave it away as an additional gift to sweeten a bass sale.

I'd love a bass with a Z top, but for some reason these are not carried by the local Cort dealers. I really hate Cort's policy of keeping such a low profile and basically shooting themselves in the foot by not promoting their own line in the favour of producing instruments for the big mass selling brands...pfff...they're capable of making such fine basses...
