Cort Precision Bass

I know you guys are going to hate me for this but I traded in a Squier VM Jazz Bass for a Cort Precision bass. Why I did it was because I wanted the P-Bass tone forever and the Cort just amazed me. When I got it home I took off the pickgaurd and found out it had a Fender Original '62 P Bass Pickup with lightweight tuners. To say anything is I love this bass. I put DR Highbeam Flats on it and now its mean and thumpy Tell Me what you think

You found it had an original 62 P pup in it? That's worth a squier moneywise in and of itself.

I think he means the "Original '62" pickup, the Fender 1962 Reissue pickup. Great pickup, but not worth the cost of a Squier and a half.

Post pictures of your Cort, sounds interesting!!

Ahh, see that seems a little more credible. I for one haven't noticed a drastic difference between Cort Fender knock-offs and Affinity's, but those VMs are so sweet. To each his own though, if ya dig it ya dig it.

Question: Is the neck pocket Fender/Warmoth size? I do have a Warmoth neck and Cort PJs are cheap.

sorry i dont have a camera, but i do have a webcam but it doesnt do justice. and I really liked the squier but its tone was horrible with flats and the pickups were cheesy duncan designed, dont get me wrong, it was a beautiful bass but not my taste. I got the classic punchy pbass tone ive been wanting forever. Its got some dings, but what can you expect from a used bass?

Considering that Ibanez, ESP, Schecter, and G&L all have their Asian-made basses and guitars actually made by Cort, you might just have a great starter bass on your hands, and that '62 RI pickup is a GREAT pickup. Congrats!!
