Could a Epiphone Thunderbird play...?

Jamiroquai catorgory of funk? Sorry but i really like the basslines and if Thunderbird is adaquate at that then i will go for that, though i have been looking up the Ibanez JTKB200 or Jet King get mixed results but i love the look and sounds decent. Back to my original question can it? Or another bass thats as versatile in that price range, except for Fenders sorry but they just don't appeal to me by their appearance as shallow as that sounds. I would get a Ibanez sr300 but my budget is strict and that costs alittle bit more here in Britain, seriously i am raging at the conversion price rate here.

I regularly check those used but the only one i seen in my price range is pink for some weird reason. Another alternative is a Peavey Grind i found on the internet however ain't seen much on these.

I'm sure you could do it, but a T-bird wouldn't be my first choice for funk.

I would go with a peavey grind before the tbird. Peavey makes solid instruments and I think you'd find more versatility with it than the tbird.

Try one of the new Epi Thunderbird Pro's. With Active EMG style pickups it is a bit more versitile than the passive one's.

And funk is not in the bass you play, but the player wearing the bass. I'm sure Bootsy can funk out on any bass.

Don't buy the T-Bird. The lack of high end in the stock pickups makes it unusable for funk, IMO.

Instead of asking us, go to a store and try it. You have to decide for yourself.

http://www11.xpresssites.com/northcl...?_RND=84099946 That is essentially the same model? its very brief in the description but luckily its in the same, area as me. Also i would but where i am the stores here are limited and only had Stagg, Fender, expensive Yamaha and Ibanez model. Was fun to compare.
