Assuming that you were VERY careful, would it be possible to make a bass body out of glass?
I was thinking about this earlier whilst finishing a glass of wine and thinking how cool it would be to make a glass bass body with different colored glass and stuff.
Anyone know the answer? I'd LOVE to play one of these if you can!

Another thought: What if you or someone else drops it? Is there a plan of coating the glass in something so it doesn't shatter into several pieces?

As for how I'd protect the bass, I have no idea. My drunken brain hasn't got so far as thinking about that yet.

Come to think of it, that might be interesting to see.
