Could you recommend a case for my Cirrus 5?

Good morning, everyone!

A number of years ago, I had the good fortune to acquire a Peavey Cirrus 5-string bass (Claro Walnut) for a very good price. The original case had been misplaced, so the vendor tossed in an MBT hard case. Well, that case does not fit very well and I would like to get a better one.

Could any of you suggest a case for this bass? First hand accounts from actual Cirrus 5 owners would be just awesome! Hard cases preferred.

Thanks, everyone.

Oh, must post a pic:

Given the odd shape, not aware of too many hard cases that will fit it particularly well. For general transport, I've been using gig bags for years. Peavey's stock hard case fits the Cirrus like a glove.

Oddly, I have not been successful finding a stock case as of yet. Suggestions on where to look?

Probably not something that would be for sale as they seem to only fit the Cirrus and they all came with one, but perhaps Peavey might sell you one if you ask/beg them.

You might check out Coffin Cases, I've got several that work with a variety of basses.

I have a Peavey Grind as well as a Cirrus (BXP). They are almost exactly the same dimensionally. Peavey sells cases for its Grind basses separately from the instruments:

If you can find a retailer with a Grind case you might give it a try.
