$900??? that seems like a crazy awesome deal to me. I actually know very little about the maker & was hoping the TB community could provide some insight.

I think their price is fair (not great but fair) if the bass was all stock. I'd call Smith up and find out what the cost of a new preamp would be and deduct that from my offer.

I would not be interested in the bass unless it had a Smith preamp in it.
