I just picked this one up tonight it was a good deal and I just couldn't pass it up. Now it just needs a bit of cleanup.

You'd probably be more jealous if I told you how much I paid for it

Regarding the "lawsuit era", this suite was brought on by Norlin/Gibson and to the best of my knowledge, it did not involve anything Fender or other companies (I could be wrong). I used to know the full scoop but I'm getting old lol! I always see this on the 'bay by all sorts of sellers w/ "lawsuit" this and that. The term is rather abused and often used to enhance the sale of an instrument, yet most of the time that said instrument/design was not part of the lawsuit

I kept seeing the headline for that ad, but since I just picked up a cabinet and have a bass coming with the Jolly Fatman on Saturday I kept looking past it. Congrats on the score!

I was actually surprised it was still around. I saw the ad yesterday and called the guy and asked if he was willing to split the guitar and the bass. I was expecting him to not answer or say it was gone since the ad had already been posted for two days at that point. I guess everyone else is too busy Christmas shopping to be scouring Craigslist for deals. Luckily for me I got mine done 2 weeks ago.

Same with the cabinet I grabbed. I think it was first posted 12/6 and I got it on the 18th. Though it may have had something to do with the red grille. Tis the time for sneaky deals when nobody else is looking.

I'm seeing a LOT of cool, obscure little jems on craigs these days.
I could fill my house with sub $100 instruments.

This time last year I nabbed my Spector Euro4 for $500 on Craigslist.

There's actually a pretty cool looking Cort Jazz-style bass on there right now with a bridge 'bucker and the standard Jazz neck pickup. $75.

Nope. I usually search the local Craigslist for "bass" on a regular basis. If I'm in the market for something specific then I'll search for that. I don't do the national searches. I picked this one up 10 minutes from my doorstep.
