Just played a 70's vintage mod squier JB? I've heard the squiers can't hold a tune and have issues, but i LOVE the feel and look.... Opinions?

If u'd used the search button before making a new topic, you'd have seen that the vintage modified series get a lot of praise around here.

Not to jump on the "use the search function" bandwagon, but there have been several threads on Squier basses including this very recent one.

Is a Squier Bass Really That Bad?

What ill-informed nonsense ! Squiers have been top-notch for quite some time. The VM and CV models especially, are great instruments for little coin and easily hold their own against MIMs and in some cases MIAs.

+1 on the search and other threads, and whoever told you that about Squiers doesn't know what they are talking about.

Fender has really pulled the Squier brand up a few notches in the last couple of years. So much so that I actually bought one (VM Jaguar) and play it right along side my MIA's. Its a fine instrument in every sense.
