I like it. Not three grand like, but it's interesting.

Surprised there's a case for it.

I remember seeing these about 8-10 years ago! I haven't seen them since.

They've also got a more traditional looking model, the Soul. Somewhat of a Jazz bass style.

I prefer BassLab's STD model to this one.

BassLab makes some incredible basses. Very weird and futuristic, but incredible. They play an sound fantastic. Once again, German engineering at its finest.

Am I the only one who didn't really like it's tone? Sounded a bit hollow and brittle for my liking. Maybe I just don't dig "modern" tone.

Looks crazy as hell though.

Just thinking that, but given a completely composite hollow body,I'd expect that. It's very sterile sounding.

The explanation for all this madness: It's made out of composites by Germans. 'nuff said.

Interesting. I would really have to hear it in person to fully judge the sound - or actually A/B'ed vs. a traditionally built bass - then I could gauge if it was the quality of the recording or the bass itself that gave it that hollow/brittle edge to the tone.

Still very cool stuff!

I've seen these basses through the internet often. Never have I seen someone play one though. At their prices I'm not surprised.
