Jay Farrar has several Creston guitars (including a really cool lap steel with a bending mechanism), and Sun Volt's steel/keys player, Mark Spencer has a bunch also. He's a tremendous tele' picker. I don't play guitar much, but lots of the great pickers around here (Burlington, where Creston builds) play Crestons and rave about them.
I'm in possession of a borrowed Creston Jazz-ish bass, and I'm loving it. It's strung with flatwound strings, and it just sings. Plays like butter, really responsive and punchy, great tone.
Also, Creston wrote a book that's a good read: http://www.amazon.com/Wild-Punch-Cre.../dp/1933527404
