Anyone ever heard of these? Maybe a good modding platform?

Can't find any reviews of this brand really.

Good price it seems. Headstock pretty familiar.

Probably along the lines of a Turser or something?

Yeah, I have had good luck with the SX stuff I've owned, but I won't buy one with the new headstocks. In fact, I need to email Kurt and see if he is going to get any more of the maple necks by themselves. They are out of them on the website at the moment and only have rosewood and a fretless maple.

Hmmm. I'm rather intrigued. There seems to be a lot of info regarding other cheap offshore P-clones braded differently on the headtock (though I'm sure a lot are made in the same factory to similar specs.)

Maybe the Crestwoods are a fairly new brand, or maybe the fact there is so little info about them floating around the net should be an indicator of their suckiness.

I dunno...I've played some really nice Tursers and SX and Staggs (along with some lemons)--really they aren't that dissimilar from MIC Squiers as far as general build and point of origin. The Squiers I've played vary wildly in quality as well, from real surprises that rival basses with the Fender logo on them to nearly unplayable.

Eh, if I ever snag one of these I'll report back.

I have the crestwood p5.
The stock pickups blew so I put a set of nordstrand NP5s and it actually sounds really good.
