A Curiosity: VM Tele Bass (2 pickup) vs Epi EB-3
 

I don't plan on buying either (at least not anytime soon), but I was wondering if anyone has gotten the chance to A/B the two. Price is about the same, but I'm curious about how they compare tonally, specifically how the j and mini-humbucker compare in combination with their respective mudbuckers.

I know there are other points to consider to, such as quality and construction, and things like bridges and the Epi's neckdive. I'm sure the Squier's bridge is much easier to deal with than the Gibson 3-point, but does the Squier's medium scale combat the neckdive?
