Be patient and you can find a used one in nice condition for $400 or so.
Thanks Stream! Soundalike a good plan

IME the Roadworns have been consistantly lighter in weight than the Classic series. I don't know if this is by design or I just happened on some light weight instruments(I've had 4-5 go through my hands and played a bunch more). Honestly, both are good. Its kind of up to your personal preference. I do like the RW a lot, the Classic 60's Jazz I had a few years ago was the best sounding Jazz I've ever owned.

Thanks AMJBass. I'm leaning toward the Classic 60's at the moment. It does seem like a no brainer on the used price front also .

Side note.... Is it relatively easy to adjust these truss rods? I saw a few posts where guys had a little routing done on the body for easier access....

I routed my Classic 60s Jazz and my CIJ Franken57/62 P. no idea how I ever would have been able to adjust the truss rod otherwise.

the neck profiles are different and the road worn has a vintage correct body thickness which is thinner than the classic 60's jazz. they arent the same bass and threads in the past of covered the differences.

Thanks for the feedback! The body being slimmer probably attributes to the noted weight differences. Have you played both RW & a classic 60'? I've played a RW as I may have mentioned on this thread, and liked it. I have time to make my decision between the two.

By the way, I've seen some YouTube videos of your group, playing, and like your playing, style, etc.

Thanks!
