Curved back basses?

Sign in to disble this ad
Who besides Warwick and Spector make curved back basses? I love the way a concave back contours to my...uhh...portliness

What I'm looking for is a 5 string with 18 or 19mm spacing, concave back, in the $1000 neighborhood. I'm not avoiding Warwick or Spector, it just seems they don't offer those specs in my price range. If they do, please show me!!

Ibanez SRT basses. I've never tried any, so I can't tell you if they're any good.

Ibanez EDB-605 ERGODYNE! Highly recommended sound wise, a little heavy but bearable

The Aerodyne does have a curved back, but it's the wrong way. I think what the op os asking is carved inward (for a gut to fit), not bulging out (like a round back which allows the instrument to rock on the gut)

I looked at the webpages for both Sukop and Jerzy Drozd and closed them immediately. No way those are under $1000!

I have a Warwick Infinity SN5 with adjustable spacing currently set at 18mm and it just happens to be for trade.

That's a beautiful Warwick, fits exactly what I'm looking for! I don't have any trade bait right now though

I thought they were even tighter than that.

Thread revival!

Well since we're here, I eventually lucked up on a Spector USA NS-5 with wide spacing at an incredible price. It's has become my soul mate
