No disrespect taken! I've seen some great work done on conklins, that's why i made sure to include the word "dimensions" as opposed to the whole bass. many people love them, but in my opinion their 7's, which are some of the most well known 7s, have much too large of dimensions.

Indeed, that is an opinion we both share.

Brubaker has some competition for that title now! Although, Brad Johnson clearly has the lead on number of basses I would cut a leg off for.

This is just the clear coat before the satin finish. Still looks great.

Yum...birdseye.

Thanks man. I hope the fingerboard will be the "focal point" of the instrument. Also the black hardware creates further contrast as the purpleheart and ash do. At least that was the intent. I'll have to wait and have my girlfriend model it for me to be sure.

You know it's funny I have seen Chris use very different birdseye grain and this is my favorite. I'm glad he used this piece! I'll bet it's sick with a satin finish.

yeah thats what i was thinking! I've seen a lot of birds eye that has lots of eyes, but this piece looks more like little stones in a stream that has ripples coming off of it

Thank you very much! I really can't wait to see the back of the body. I love swamp ash and from the pics it looks very pretty. I mean who doesn't like a great piece of ash?

It's "suppose" to ship today..lol Chris is getting ready for NAMM it may not happen before he leaves. Not sure we'll have to see.

Strange, there are more videos of me on youtube than I thought..lol Here is a police song I arranged.
