Lightbulb Custom Jazz Bass

Hey everyone (this is my first post)!

I would like to add a Jazz Bass to my arsenal, and wanting something a bit out of the ordinary I have kind of created one in my head that I would like to customize. While exploring Fender's color chart online I found that I'm particularly fond of the natural walnut brown color, and it turns out there exists a Squier Standard J Bass of this color.

I have a MIM Strat from the early 2000s that is transparent red with gold hardware... it's pretty nostalgic to me. I kind of want to do the same style with this jazz bass.

Basically I want to switch out all of the silver hardware and replace it with gold hardware -- tuners, control plate, knobs, screws... Nothing too complicated, right? How difficult would this be? It seems I can find all the parts on eBay. The main issue for me would be the bridge. I would either want a gold bridge pickup cover or a different gold bridge. Replacing the Squier bridge with something else might be a good idea (I've read that pretty much somebody likes the Badass II, Gotoh, Schaller, etc...)

I'm not really going for tone or quality here, mainly just looks and something I can feel little remorse for neglecting. I have a '79 Peavey T-40 and an '11 Rick 4003 MG so my sonic bases are pretty much covered for my purposes.

How feasible does this project sound? From my understanding the only thing I would need help with is replacing the bridge or mounting the bridge pickup cover.

Thanks!
